We now offer injectables for both therapeutic and aesthetic concerns at Museum Dental in Yorkville! Procedures include the treatment of temporomandibular disorders (TMD), as well as aesthetic treatments such as gummy smile and lip flip.

Temporomandibular disorders (TMD)

Injectables are useful tools in providing patients with relief from TMD - especially those who have tried nightguards and other treatments without success. TMD can lead to persistent jaw pain, headaches, teeth grinding and tension in the muscles that control chewing.

Neuromodulator injections work by gently relaxing the overactive jaw muscles that cause these symptoms, effectively relieving jaw tension and limiting the damage from bruxism (teeth grinding).

Gummy Smile

If excess gum tissue shows when you smile, injectables can relax the upper lip muscles responsible for lifting the lip too high, creating a more balanced smile with a very simple treatment.

Lip Flip

A lip flip is a quick, minimally invasive alternative to lip filler that involves injecting a small amount of botulinum toxin into the top lip, subtly enhancing its appearance by rolling it up and outward.

Treatments are quick, involve little to no downtime, with effects starting in a few days and results lasting a few months.
